With the retirement of Dr Ken Wong, I would like to take this opportunity to extend a warm welcome to all patients who will now be continuing their care through my practice. I understand that a change in your health team can feel significant, especially when it follows a long-term relationship with a surgeon you trust. My intention is to make this transition as clear, supportive, and reassuring as possible.
Many people in the Central Coast community may already know me through my work at Gosford Private Hospital, Tuggerah Lakes Private Hospital, and Gosford District Hospital. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with Dr Wong and have always admired his commitment to his patients, his surgical skill, and the compassion he brings to his work. It is an honour to continue supporting the individuals and families he has cared for throughout his career.
As a General, Upper Gastrointestinal and Bariatric Surgeon, I have dedicated my career to providing safe, modern, and evidence-based treatment options for patients facing a wide range of conditions — from reflux disease and hiatal hernia to obesity, gallbladder disease, and upper-GI cancer. My postgraduate training includes advanced fellowships at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and Christchurch Hospital, internationally recognised for their high standards in upper gastrointestinal and minimally invasive surgery.
A central focus of my practice is my commitment to holistic, long-term care. Surgical treatment — whether bariatric or upper-GI — achieves the best outcomes when it is supported by a coordinated team. Our practice brings together a dietitian, bariatric nurse, psychology partners, and exercise physiology support. This multidisciplinary model ensures that patients receive well-rounded, personalised support before and after surgery.
If you were previously under the care of Dr Wong, your ongoing treatment will be fully supported at my practice. You will not need to repeat your medical history or undergo unnecessary appointments, as your records will be transferred securely.
