Our telehealth clinic
We have an established telehealth service where you can have your weight loss surgery consultations using videoconference. You can use this service using a smartphone, tablet or computer.
When can I use this service?
You can use this for your initial consultation for weight loss surgery, your dietitian appointments and your follow-up appointments.
When can’t I use this service?
This service is not offered for non weight loss surgery conditions (hiatus hernia, reflux, gallbladder, hernia and cancer surgery) as workup for these conditions require physical examination by Dr Hamer. We also recommend that if you live close to our rooms at 33 Etna Street Gosford or Kanwal you try and attend an in-person consultation if at all possible – from experience we find that patients find an in-person consultation more valuable.
What do I need to do?
Talk to our reception staff about booking in for your telehealth. If suitable they will book you an appointment time in the same way you would book in to see any other specialist. You will need a referral, and need to be prepared for your appointment. Our reception staff will send you a link which you will use to access the online waiting room at your appointment time. Please be aware that you may need to wait a few minutes before being seen, similar to an in-person specialist appointment.
